Information on Music

Music and Emotions
Music can influence a person through any kind of emotion whether it is violent or encouraging or some other feeling. Our society is so corrupted by the things we allow ourselves to be exposed to but yet no one finds anything wrong with it. Majority of the “popular” songs that people listen to today are mainly about sex, drugs, alcohol, violence, and money but because we are too caught up into the beat or rhythm of the song we don’t take the time to listen to the lyrics and see what we are exposing ourselves too.

Government Uses Music

The United States government has been using heavy metal rock music as a way to interrogate prisoners in Iraq and possibly other countries. Many of us would see heavy metal rock music as just another type of music that people like to listen too however our government uses it as interrogation.. This is a prime example of how music can influence people. Our government doesn’t realize that what they are doing is crucial.

Negative Influences Through Music

As innocent people to the music world that we are exposing ourselves to, we are increasing our behavior to act more violently and sexually as well amplifying our chances to try the things that the music is referring to such as drugs and alcohol. WND.com, statistics have shown that 51 percent of students that listened to sexual influenced music became sexually engaged sooner than the 29 percent that did not listen to this kind of music. With the way the world revolves around music there is more likely going to increase in negative behavior among individuals as the songs we listen to become more influential with sex, drug use/abuse, alcohol use/abuse, and violence.

  1. Very interesting. Some suggestions: URLs should be hyperlinked, not sitting around naked.
I'm really confused about the focus of this post. You have three different paragraphs that don't appear to be connected in any way. I'd look at making a connection between the information.

    1. I did change the links to have each paragraph a title and hyper-linked the title. I understand that each paragraph is different and appear to not be connected however I took different influences that music has on people and separated the paragraphs based on the influence whether it was positive, negative, or neither.
